Our why

This foundation is in honor of our grandmother, Lillie Pearl! She was and still is the light of our lives. 

Lillie Pearl was born in Mississippi and grew up in St. Louis. She was a mother to 7 children. After losing one of her sons to street violence and having drugs directly affect her family she changed her life to be a foot soldier for God. She attended church every Sunday and worked to help change the lives of those in dark spaces Monday through Saturday.  She was led by Christ to truly dedicate herself to not only her family, but to anyone who needed help. Whether it was helping with bills, food, a conversation, a place to lay your head, guidance, or even just a hug, Mrs. Lillie would take on the task. She was always grateful that people allowed her to be a blessing in their lives.

She was known by many for bringing light into a dark world. Grandmother loved everyone! She had the biggest heart anyone has ever known. To know her, was to love her. Our grandmother was the hands and feet of Christ on Earth. She truly believed in the power of prayer, but also understood the action behind prayer. She did whatever it took to help many.

When our angel gained her wings on March 27, 2019, Lillie Pearl Foundation was soon born. We wanted to continue our grandmother’s mission on Earth, which was to love on the hurting, give to those in need, and be a bridge in our community! Who our grandmother was and what she embodied we can never match. Her mentality was to serve and not to be served. It is important to us to continue her life’s work.  We know that she’ll be proud! Here’s to continuing the legacy of our Queen, Lillie Pearl!
